French Drug Kingpin Arrested in Morocco on Interpol Warrant

The judicial police services in Casablanca have arrested Noureddine B., a French drug baron of Algerian origin, who was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the French authorities. He will soon be extradited to France.
Noureddine B. was arrested at Mohammed V Airport last Friday as he was trying to enter Moroccan territory. Last April, Interpol had issued a red notice against him for his involvement in the hard drug trafficking between France, Belgium and the Netherlands. The name of the accused was mentioned during a police operation in the Orléans region, near Paris, which resulted in the arrest of six suspects in flagrante delicto of receiving a large quantity of heroin, reports the daily Assabah. He would be one of the sponsors of this operation.
The investigations carried out by the French, Belgian and Dutch police reveal that Noureddine B. is involved in several cocaine trafficking operations. Several French police services then issued an international arrest warrant against him through Interpol. After his arrest in Morocco, the judicial police services in Casablanca are continuing the preliminary procedures for his extradition. The Court of Cassation will have to rule on it.
