Former Morocco Coach Hervé Renard Mourns Rayan’s Death, Praises Rescue Efforts
Former Atlas Lions coach Hervé Renard did not remain on the sidelines of the wave of solidarity towards Morocco, observed following Rayan’s death on Saturday, February 5, after being trapped in a well for 5 days.
"It is with immense sadness that I have just learned of Rayan’s death. My sincere condolences to the family and loved ones. Thought for the Moroccan people for their multiple efforts and unwavering solidarity. Rest in Peace little angel," wrote Hervé Renard.
The French coach saluted the efforts made by the rescuers and the authorities at various levels to make this rescue possible, which will be a landmark in the history of the country. In addition to the former coach, footballers and sports clubs have paid a vibrant tribute to the little boy. They also expressed their condolences to his family and the Moroccan people.
