Former Moroccan Anti-Terror Chief Abdelhak El Khiame Laid to Rest in Casablanca

Deceased on Tuesday morning, the funeral of Abdelhak El Khiame, former director of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ), took place the same day in Casablanca.

It was in the Chouhada cemetery that the remains of Abdelhak El Khiame were buried after the Addohr and funeral prayers. The burial ceremony took place in the presence of some members of the deceased’s family, representatives of the local authorities, some officials of the National Security, elected officials, and other personalities from the sports world.

After the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran, prayers were said for the rest of the soul of the deceased for all the great human qualities he had shown during his lifetime, and his dedication to the service of his country. For all his good deeds, the audience implored the Almighty to grant him His Holy mercy and to welcome him into His vast paradise.

In a statement to the press, the Central Director of the Judicial Police, Mohamed Dkhissi, stressed that Abdelhak El Khiame had marked his passage at the General Directorate of National Security by his professionalism, his honesty and his constant concern to fulfill his duty without complaining.

Also present at this burial ceremony, the artist Saad Tsouli, who was a friend of Abdelhak El Khiame, also mentioned the great qualities of the deceased and the professional conscience with which he fought to ensure the security of Moroccan citizens.

Deceased at the age of 64, Abdelhak El Khiame had had a beautiful career within the National Judicial Police Brigade (BNPJ), before taking over the BCIJ at its creation in 2015 until 2020.
