Former French President Sarkozy Arrives in Marrakech Ahead of Macron’s Visit

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy arrived on Tuesday evening in Marrakech for a stay that should last a few days.
Upon his arrival, a certain agitation was felt in the Palmeraie area, where Sarkozy has set up his luggage. According to sources, the former head of state is staying at Jnane El Kbir, the residence of King Mohammed VI’s guests. The former French president owns a property in the ochre city.
No official information has leaked out about the reasons for this trip, but this visit to Morocco coincides with that of French President Emmanuel Macron, scheduled for next week, during which he is expected to meet the Moroccan sovereign.
Nicolas Sarkozy is a regular in Morocco, especially in Marrakech. He goes there regularly with his wife, Carla Bruni.
