Fiorentina Star Amrabat Misses Training Amid Barcelona Transfer Saga

Fiorentina’s refusal of an offer from FC Barcelona to recruit Sofyan Amrabat at the end of this winter transfer window seems to have annoyed the Moroccan international. On Tuesday, the latter skipped training with his club.
While Barça is trying to obtain a paying loan of 3 million euros with a purchase option set at 37 million, in order to secure the services of Sofyan Amrabat (17 matches in Serie A), it has run up against the refusal of Fiorentina, reports journalist Fabrizio Romano. The Moroccan midfielder would not have appreciated this attitude of the leaders of the Viola. In order to express his discontent, the 26-year-old player skipped Tuesday’s training session with the Italian club.
A few days earlier, the current 12th in Serie A had clearly stated its intention to retain the one who was one of the revelations of the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Sofyan was recruited for 20 million euros, in January 2020. His contract with the Viola runs until the summer of 2024.
