Fiorentina Blocks Sofyan Amrabat Transfer Amid Premier League Interest

Fiorentina has made an important decision regarding the future of Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat, who was courted by several clubs such as Liverpool and Tottenham.
The transfer of Sofyan Amrabat, whose contract with Fiorentina runs until the summer of 2024 - with an extension to 2025 - will not be possible during the current transfer window. His club did not give a favorable response to the clubs that wanted to recruit him this winter. "For Amrabat, we are convinced of the team we have created," said Joe Barone, Fiorentina’s manager, to Sportitalia. According to him, the Atlas Lion belongs to the Italian club. He will therefore not be "sold". At least, in January.
A decision that Amrabat’s agent respects. "We have received many phone calls for him, but we respect the choices made by Fiorentina. They have decided to bet on him and not to keep [Lucas] Torreira, even though they could have played together," said Alberto Maria Jimmy Fontana to Radio Sportiva. And he added: "The calls are nice, but we have an excellent relationship with Fiorentina, in addition to the long contract that binds him to Viola. Although they play in a lower European cup, it is a very respectable club."
