Barcelona Bids €35-40 Million for World Cup Star Amrabat, Fiorentina Rejects Offer

Barça is negotiating with Fiorentina a loan with a purchase option of 35 million or even 40 million euros for Sofyan Amrabat. But the Italian club has rejected the offer.
FC Barcelona made this offer early this Tuesday, the last day of the winter transfer window. But for now, Fiorentina is not ready to let Sofyan Amrabat go, who was one of the revelations of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The midfielder could still join the Barça team, which is taking advantage of the last hours of the winter transfer window to convince the Italian club.
"I confirm that Amrabat and Nico González are not for sale. The president had said so and I repeat it," Joe Barone, Fiorentina’s general manager, declared two weeks ago. Sofyan Amrabat is one of the best midfielders at the moment.
For his part, Amrabat, who is being tracked by other big clubs like Liverpool and Atlético de Madrid, recently revealed that his heart has always beaten for Barça and Xavi Hernández, his idol since he was a child.
