Fiorentina Drops Amrabat from Squad Amid Transfer Speculation
Sofyan Amrabat will not play this Thursday’s match against Rapid Vienna. Fiorentina has decided to no longer count on the Moroccan midfielder who has expressed his desire to leave the club.
What will be Sofyan Amrabat’s next club? The question remains open, with only nine days left until the end of the summer transfer window. The 27-year-old player, who no longer wants to stay at Fiorentina, is attracting the interest of several big clubs, including Manchester United who would be willing to spend 35 million euros for his transfer, reports Mundo Deportivo.
In recent months, other clubs such as FC Barcelona, where the Moroccan midfielder dreams of playing, Atlético, Liverpool, Juventus, PSG or West Ham have also set their sights on Sofyan Amrabat. Fiorentina is waiting for an offer of at least 25 million euros to let the Moroccan international, whose contract runs until 2024, leave. For the moment, none of the offers received have satisfied the Italian club.
While waiting for a serious offer, Amrabat is not in Vincenzo Italiano’s plans for this season. Against Genoa (4-1) on Saturday, in the first round of Serie A, the coach left the Moroccan midfielder on the bench. This Thursday as well, the young player is not in Vienna for Fiorentina’s first Conference League match against Rapid.
