Sofyan Amrabat faces a risky choice before the transfer window closes

Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat prefers to join the Manchester United squad rather than play for clubs like Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, Nottingham Forest, Galatasaray or Saudi clubs who want to acquire his services during the summer transfer window. But his choice for the Red Devils could prove a bit complicated.
Liverpool and Nottingham Forest want to recruit Sofyan Amrabat during the summer transfer window that ends tonight, reports Alfredo Pedulla on his website, specifying that the Reds had reached an agreement with Fiorentina and had offered him "an important contract". Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray and Saudi clubs have all also tried to recruit the Fiorentina midfielder. But the 27-year-old player, according to the Italian journalist, only has eyes for Manchester United, who have also joined the race to have him in their squad.
According to Pedulla, Amrabat "has a total agreement on the commitment for weeks" with United and hopes "sincerely" to play for the Red Devils. But the conditions set by Fiorentina could thwart the Moroccan’s transfer. The Italian club is demanding a mandatory purchase option to let their midfielder leave, reports 90min. According to Footmercato journalist Hanif Ben Berkane, Manchester United and Fiorentina are very close to an agreement for the transfer of the Atlas Lion. In a post on X, he mentions a paid loan with a purchase option.
La Viola had given Sofyan until August 28 to make a decision about his future. It remains to be seen whether he could leave the Artemio-Franchi stadium before tonight.
