Fiorentina’s Amrabat Suffers Broken Nose in Italian Cup Victory

After his failed transfer to FC Barcelona, Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat seems to be experiencing bad luck. He fractured his nose during the quarter-final of the Italian Cup between Fiorentina and Torino (2-1).
On Wednesday, Sofyan Amrabat was injured after a collision with Paraguayan striker Antonio Sanabria 15 minutes from the end of the match between Fiorentina and Torino, a game won by Viola (2-1). In a statement, Viola announced that the Moroccan midfielder had broken his nose bones.
"Sofyan Amrabat underwent X-ray tests on Thursday (February 2nd, editor’s note) after receiving a violent blow to the face during the Coppa Italia match against Torino. The tests confirmed that he suffered a nasal bone fracture. The player will train alone today (Thursday) and tomorrow while a protective facial mask is being prepared for him," the same source said.
