FIFA Decision Looms as Sevilla Star Munir El Haddadi Eyes Morocco Switch

FIFA has not yet ruled on the cases of dual nationals who have expressed the wish to change their sporting nationality. Meanwhile, Munir El Haddadi, who plays for Sevilla FC, is patient and hopes to be able to offer his skills in service of the Atlas Lions.
Munir El Haddadi wants more than anything to defend the colors of Morocco by joining the national team. According to Al Akhbar, the midfielder hopes to play alongside his teammates Yassine Bounou and Youssef En-Nesyri. "I share a lot of things with my Moroccan teammates, including our culture and traditions. This is what encouraged me to continue to fight to play with the national team," said the player.
He is waiting for FIFA’s decision, which will be for him the second chance and the new start with the Atlas Lions. He confided that the men who make up the national team are great players and he would be proud to be able to play alongside them, in order to write together very beautiful pages of Moroccan football. The national coach, Vahid Halilhodzic, while expressing his joy at Munir El Haddadi’s request, explains that the final word rests with FIFA, which will make its decision in the coming weeks.
FIFA can grant the request of these players, including Munir El Haddadi, if they have not "played more than three matches with their first selection" and if they were "under 21 years old at the time of their first selection." The Sevilla FC midfielder will have to be patient.
