FIFA Clears Munir El Haddadi to Join Morocco National Team

The coach of the Atlas Lions, Vahid Halilhodzic, held a press conference on Thursday, October 1st. Among the topics discussed, the coach addressed the situation of Munir El Haddadi who received the approval of FIFA to be part of the Moroccan national team.
It is now official. Munir El Haddadi has been called up to join the Atlas Lions. The player who had surprisingly chosen to wear the Spanish jersey expressed the wish to play for Morocco. He was waiting for the FIFA decision that should consider the requests filed by certain players.
Now that the association has ruled, Halilhodzic, who had indicated that he was waiting for FIFA’s opinion before commenting on Munir El Haddadi’s case, explained that the Sevilla FC player has the required qualities to be part of the national team. "Munir is aware of the mistake he made a few years ago, and he is happy to come and play for Morocco. He is a player who has a lot of qualities. He has his place in the team."
In addition to Munir El Haddadi, six other players will join the national team. They are Samy Mmaee, Soufiane Chakla, Dries Saddiki, Nassim Boujellab, Aymen Barkok and Moha Rharsalla.
