Morocco Football Federation Persists in Bid for Munir El Haddadi’s Eligibility

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) is not admitting defeat in the face of the rejection of Munir El Haddadi’s nationality change request. It intends to explore all possibilities in order to give the Sevilla FC player the chance to be part of the Moroccan national team.
If it were not for the decision of FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), Munir El Haddadi would have already joined the Moroccan team. A wish he hopes to see come true with all his might. This is why the FRMF has requested the detailed judgment of the CAS, hoping to find recommendations in the law that could help them find a favorable outcome to the player’s request for a change of sporting nationality.
According to the daily Assabah, the FRMF still hopes to see the Sevilla FC player wear the Atlas Lions jersey, like Zakaria Aboukhalal who has even been called up for the double confrontation against the Central African Republic, counting for the qualifiers of the Africa Cup of Nations.
On the list of players who have received the FIFA stamp on their request for a change of sporting nationality, there are Aymen Barkok, Ilyas Seddiki, Samy Mmaee, who have all been present during the last gathering. Only Munir El Haddadi remains, who hopes that he will be given the chance to play for Morocco, the same source specifies.
