Ferry Service Resumes Between Tangier and Tarifa After Wind-Related Suspension

After a few hours of suspension due to the strong winds blowing over the Strait of Gibraltar on Tuesday, maritime traffic between the ports of Tanger Ville and Tarifa resumed this Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
In a press release sent to Bladi.net, Jamil Ouazzani, Marketing and Strategic Intelligence Director at SGPTV (Tangier City Port Management Company) announced "the regular resumption this morning at 6:00 am of the ferry traffic between Tangier and Tarifa". This traffic was suspended on Tuesday due to the strong winds blowing at over 80 km/h over the Strait of Gibraltar.
This situation led to the cancellation of scheduled departures during the day of July 12. The Moroccan port authorities had informed that the traffic between the ports of Tanger ville and Tarifa would be restored as soon as the weather conditions allowed it. This is now done.
