Fenerbahçe Star Amrabat Faces Backlash Over Dubai Getaway Amid Club’s Struggles

A post by Sofyan Amrabat on Instagram, the day after Fenerbahçe’s victory against Eyüpspor (2-1) during the 36th round of the Süper Lig, a match in which he did not participate, has sparked anger among his club’s supporters.
According to the Turkish media NTV Spor, Amrabat’s story showing him in a luxurious hotel room in Dubai offering a panoramic view, has provoked the anger of Fenerbahçe fans who criticized the Moroccan midfielder for his lack of empathy and indifference to the critical situation the club is going through.
Supporters expressed their disappointment with Amrabat’s casual attitude as he enjoys his stay in Dubai, questioning his commitment to Fenerbahçe. This new controversy could push the Moroccan international towards the exit, analyzes the Turkish media, recalling the already strained relations between him and the club’s management.
In 39 matches played across all competitions this season under José Mourinho’s orders, the Atlas Lion has scored two goals and provided three assists. Sofyan Amrabat’s contract with Fenerbahçe runs until the summer of 2028. But the Moroccan player could leave the Turkish club during the next summer transfer window.
