Amrabat’s Turkish Exit: Saudi Clubs Circle as Mourinho Cools on Moroccan Midfielder

The Moroccan midfielder from Fenerbahçe, Sofyan Amrabat, is about to leave Turkey. Several Saudi clubs want to recruit him.
Is the Turkish adventure over for Sofyan Amrabat!? He would not be in José Mourinho’s plans. He would have been sidelined by his coach due to his performances deemed disappointing during the past season. In 39 matches in all competitions played this season under José Mourinho’s orders, the Atlas Lion scored two goals and provided three assists. His contract with Fenerbahçe runs until the summer of 2028.
The Istanbul club no longer intends to buy him permanently from July 1st as provided for in one of the clauses of his contract, reports Fotomac, stating that several Saudi clubs would like to recruit the former Fiorentina player. A possible transfer to the Saudi Pro League, a rapidly expanding championship, seems to be considered. The 28-year-old player would be tempted to continue his football career in Saudi Arabia.
