Fake Police Commissioner Arrested for Scamming Merchants in Moroccan Town

The judicial police of Mehdia arrested the fake police commissioner who swindled merchants. The individual was caught in the act of fraud.
The fake police commissioner who swindled merchants in Mehdia has now been arrested. The police managed to identify the sexagenarian who was posing as a police commissioner in the Kasbah of Mehdia to swindle merchants, reports Al Akhbar. Walkie-talkie in hand, he threatened to fine store owners for alleged offenses, before extorting money or food products from them.
Exasperated, many merchants filed a complaint with the security services. The investigators and these merchants worked in good cooperation so that the fake commissioner and blackmailer would be arrested. A trap was thus set for him. As he was going to a merchant’s place to defraud him, the judicial police intervened on the spot to arrest him.
After his arrest, he was taken into custody. He is being prosecuted for fraud and usurpation of function governed by law.
