Fake Police Commissioner Arrested in Casablanca Fraud Scheme

The police elements of Casablanca arrested, last Saturday, an individual who was posing as a commissioner in the Errahma district and was defrauding his victims with the help of an accomplice. His appearance before the Criminal Court of Casablanca is scheduled for next week.
The fake commissioner defrauded several victims for a total estimated value of 130,000 DH, reports Assabah. His arrest came as he was offering his services to two individuals who were about to file a complaint against his accomplice.
The impersonator had invited his two victims to withdraw their complaint in exchange for a sum of money. He had also explained to them that their complaint would not be successful if they had to go through the normal channel.
Faced with this insistence, the two victims agreed to the deal, thinking they would find the hiding place of the robber. At the meeting place, the two plaintiffs got into an argument with the fake commissioner, who refused to tell them the hiding place of his accomplice. A police patrol on the scene arrested the two protagonists.
