Night Guard in Morocco Arrested for Polygamy Scam and Identity Fraud

A night guard in a neighborhood of Temara married four women by presenting false documents and posing as a police officer. The accused, arrested by the judicial police of Temara, even went so far as to marry the niece of his second wife.

According to the daily Al Akhbar, the carefully hidden life of the polygamist came to light when the second wife discovered that her husband was having intimate relations with her niece. She had filed a complaint which led to the guard’s arrest. Placed in custody, he was brought before the King’s Attorney General, then placed in pre-trial detention.
The third wife, the niece of the second woman, was prosecuted while at liberty. They are accused of fraud, impersonation, adultery and extramarital relations. The night guard risks a lot for having married several women using false celibacy certificates. In addition to these three women, the police investigation revealed that the defendant had scammed another woman in Belksiri by presenting himself as a police officer in Rabat. After managing to marry this last one with false documents, he ended up extorting 50,000 dirhams from her before disappearing without a trace, even changing his phone numbers.
During the confrontation organized by the judicial police of Temara, the fraudulent polygamist was unable to defend himself in front of his legitimate wife and the three deceived, manipulated and defrauded wives.
