Fake Moroccan Exorcist Arrested for Blackmailing Women with Compromising Photos

The judicial police of the city of Tinghir recently arrested a man of around 40 years old, a presumed sorcerer accused of practicing roqya to defraud women seeking solutions to their problems.
According to the investigators of the judicial police, the suspect made the women believe that he was able to find a solution to their problems. Once these women agreed to participate in his roqya sessions, the fake sorcerer photographed them in compromising positions and threatened to publish the photos on social media if the victims did not pay him a large sum of money.
The defendant’s offensive behavior prompted some women to file a complaint against him with the competent judicial authorities, leading to his arrest, on the orders of the public prosecutor. The analysis of the suspect’s mobile phone revealed the existence of intimate photos of certain victims. Talismans and witchcraft products used to deceive vigilance and gain the trust of his victims were also found in his possession.
After his arrest, the quadragenarian was placed in custody. At the end of the preliminary investigation, he was brought before the prosecutor of the king near the court of first instance of Tinghir who decided to prosecute him for fraud, threat of disclosure of compromising facts, sexual harassment, defamation and illegal exercise of an activity.
