Franco-Algerian Man Wanted by France Arrested at Casablanca Airport

A 30-year-old man of Franco-Algerian nationality was apprehended at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca. The Moroccan authorities proceeded with his arrest following the discovery of an international arrest warrant issued by France.
The individual is accused of several offenses, including death threats, attack and damage to property, as well as contempt of an officer. His arrest was made possible thanks to Interpol’s "scoring" system, which revealed that the suspect was wanted internationally.
Placed in custody, he will soon be brought before the public prosecutor’s office. In parallel, the Central Office of Judicial Investigation, which acts as Interpol’s Bureau in Morocco, has informed the French authorities of the arrest. An extradition procedure should be initiated quickly.
