Fake Judge Arrested in Marrakech for Fraud and Exploitation Scheme

The police services of Marrakech succeeded in identifying and arresting a 44-year-old man who was posing as a judge who received large sums of money from certain victims and forced others to prostitute themselves for him.

The accused was arrested in a luxury villa in Marrakech in the company of three young women following a complaint filed by one of his victims. He had offered to intervene for the daughter of the latter, who was in pre-trial detention in a criminal case, in order to prevent her from going to prison in exchange for 50,000 DH. An amount that the woman had given him. The fake judge did not keep his word. The accused was sentenced to 10 years in prison. The woman bitterly realizes that it was a sham deal. She then filed a complaint against the fake judge.

The investigations carried out allowed the investigators to discover that the accused had several other victims: eight women who had paid him between 25,000 and 160,000 DH and a man to whom he had promised to get his son out of prison in exchange for 150,000 DH. Some women claimed that the fake judge had taken advantage of them sexually, while others claimed that he had forced them to prostitute themselves for him.

The accused contacted his victims through building concierges. One of them was also arrested. During the arrest of the fake judge, the investigators came across several copies of judgments, as well as other judicial documents. He risks being prosecuted for identity theft, fraud, acceptance of a guarantee check and incitement to prostitution and debauchery.
