Moroccan Police Arrest Fraudster in Marrakech with 30 Fake Passports and Forged Documents

Elements of the fifth police district of Marrakech proceeded on January 20 to the arrest of a fraudster in possession of 30 fake passports, fake employment contracts, fictitious company stamps, forged checks and other documents.
The arrest of the fraudster took place on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, January 20, 2022 during a routine patrol by elements of the fifth police district of Marrakech on Jemaa El-Fna Square, reports Al Akhbar. The identity check allowed the law enforcement officers to discover that the individual, aged 35, is wanted for issuing bad checks, forgery and use of forgery and fraud and that he was traveling to Marrakech in search of other victims with whom he was in contact in order to defraud them.
During his arrest, he was in possession of 30 fake passports, fake employment contracts, fictitious company stamps, forged checks and other documents, including fake authorizations to leave the national territory, carefully stored in a suitcase.
Pending the resolution of this case, the accused was placed in custody.
