Elderly Moroccan Expat Arrested in France with 151 Kilos of Cannabis

His many movements intrigued the French security services. The frequent visits to Morocco of this Moroccan expatriate septuagenarian had aroused the suspicions of the police who finally made a major discovery.
At 69 years old, the man of Moroccan origin was arrested by the French police in the Cornebarrieu region (Haute-Garonne) in possession of 151 kilos of cannabis resin, carefully hidden in his car.
According to La dépêche, the individual denied any involvement in this drug case during his interrogation on Tuesday, December 24, claiming to be unaware of the presence of the merchandise in his car.
The septuagenarian was remanded in custody, pending the start of his trial for international drug trafficking.
