Major Drug Bust: 600 Kilos of Moroccan Cannabis Seized in Southern France

Four people were arrested on Wednesday as part of a case of trafficking in cannabis resin and herb between Morocco and France. Some 600 kilos of drugs would be at stake, according to a statement from the French gendarmerie.
This trafficking network was so well-oiled that it generated 200,000 euros per week. After an initial seizure of 150 kg of cannabis resin, the date and location of which were not specified, the control was tightened and made it possible to intercept two vehicles of a go-fast convoy on a highway in the south of France, near Narbonne.
At the end of this operation, three people were arrested and 528 kg of cannabis resin and 90 kg of herb were seized. A fourth man was arrested in the center of Clermont-Ferrand, in possession of the sum of 200,000 euros in cash.
The authorities also specify that the four defendants are well known to the police and gendarmerie files.
