Eight Arrested in Morocco for Visa and Residence Permit Forgery Ring

Eight individuals were arrested by the Central Brigade of Judicial Investigations for their alleged involvement in a criminal network specializing in fake visas and residence permits.
According to a statement from the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ), an operation carried out at the suspects’ homes led to the seizure of foreign residence permits, fake visas, in addition to the passports of many candidates for illegal immigration.
The search also made it possible to seize electronic equipment, mobile phones, stamps and 3 vehicles. The 8 suspects were taken into custody on the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
An investigation has been opened to shed light on all the people involved in this trafficking, and to determine the ramifications of the network, both in Morocco and internationally.
