Drug Trafficking Conflict Escalates: Father and Son Shot Near Chefchaouen, Morocco

A father and his son were attacked in the commune of Bab Taza, in the vicinity of Chefchaouen. An armed attack linked to a conflict in the drug trafficking environment.
A scene of rare violence occurred on Monday evening in the Tisouka douar, within the commune of Bab Taza. Armed with a shotgun, unknown individuals shot at a father and his son. Seriously injured, the victims were rushed to the university hospital in Tangier to receive the necessary care. This armed attack is linked to a conflict within the drug trafficking environment, local sources say.
Alerted, the services of the Royal Gendarmerie arrived at the scene of the attack. They managed to identify the perpetrators involved in this violent attack, and raided their homes last night. For now, they have not yet been able to arrest the attackers.
