Minors Face Trial in Tanger for Filmed Sexual Assault Case

After their arrest, the four minors involved in a collective sexual assault filmed and widely published on social media are answering for their actions before the criminal chamber of the Tanger Court of Appeal.
The criminal chamber of the Court of Appeal held a hearing on Monday to hear the four minors arrested for their involvement in a case of sexual assault against a woman on public roads, more precisely a street in the "bride of the North" in Tanger. According to sources close to the case, they should be questioned by the investigating judge after appearing in a video widely shared on social media, documenting the facts. They should be prosecuted for attempted rape and indecent assault. Meanwhile, the investigation opened on the case continues to identify and arrest other people involved.
After expressing their outrage, several local associations for the defense of women’s rights have decided to join the civil party. The perpetrators of this sexual assault case could be severely punished.
