The events took place on a beach in Rabat. Taking advantage of the victim’s regular attendance, the main defendant is said to have administered a powerful drug to her. The sexual assault would then have taken place in a nearby parking lot.
The victim, unable to clearly remember the events, realized what had happened the next morning thanks to her friends. A doctor confirmed that she had been drugged and raped.
After several weeks of investigation and examination of the medical evidence, justice has finally ruled. The two defendants, arrested in Rabat and Benslimane, had been held in pre-trial detention before being brought before the investigating judge.
