Drug Gang Clash Erupts in Moroccan City, One Suspect Arrested

Violent clashes between two rival groups of drug traffickers took place during the day of August 24 in the center of Tiznit. The police managed to arrest a suspect who was brought before the public prosecutor.
The Ennakhil neighborhood, located in the center of Tiznit, was the scene on Thursday last of clashes between two rival groups of drug traffickers, following the decision of one of them to take over the drug and alcohol trafficking in this area, reports the Arabic daily Assabah. Armed with swords, clubs and stones, they were ready to fight each other. The clashes lasted nearly an hour. Panicked, the residents alerted the police.
Arriving at the scene, the Tiznit security services managed to arrest a suspect. His referral to the public prosecutor took place on Sunday. They also transported another seriously injured suspect to the hospital. He was placed under surveillance. Other suspects are on the run. The investigators were able to identify them and have launched a manhunt. Meanwhile, they are continuing their investigations to determine the exact circumstances of this violent brawl, in order to identify the leaders.
