Belgian-Moroccan Man Arrested at Ceuta Border for Drug Smuggling

Moroccan customs, assisted by the police, arrested this week a Moroccan from Belgium for drug trafficking. Several dozen kilos of drugs were found in his car, at Bab Sebta.
According to a customs source, the drugs were "carefully hidden in the luggage" inside a car registered in Belgium. The driver, a Moroccan residing in Belgium, was about to leave the national territory.
The vehicle and the drugs were seized by customs, while the occupants of the vehicle were handed over to the judicial police to further investigate this case, under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office.
Several Belgian Moroccans already arrested this summer
A few days ago, two couples of Moroccans residing in Belgium had been arrested in Ceuta in possession of more than 200 kilos of hashish hidden in their vehicles. They were accompanied by their minor children (four each), aged one to 15, who were taken care of by the Child Protection Service of the autonomous city.
The Moroccan Belgians were trying to board to Algeciras with respectively 115.1 kilos and 87.1 kilos of hashish hidden under the dashboard and footrests of their vehicles, the police had said in a statement.
