Drone Intercepted in Ceuta: Drug Traffickers Turn to High-Tech Smuggling Methods

Drug traffickers are competing in means and ingenuity to transit their goods. In Ceuta, the Guardia Civil has managed to intercept a drone, which was transporting 4 kilograms of cannabis resin.
After the go-fast and helicopters, traffickers are resorting to a new weapon dreaded by the security services: the drone.
According to the local press, the analysis of the internal memory revealed that the device was not on its first operation. For the investigators, the system would have succeeded, on several occasions, in deceiving the vigilance of the security services, and in passing through large quantities of drugs.
In order to face this sophisticated weapon, the Guardia Civil plans to equip itself with new anti-drone systems capable of identifying these devices and thwarting any new attempt, it concludes.
