Spanish Police and Europol Bust Major Morocco-Spain Cannabis Trafficking Ring, 64 Arrested

The Spanish Guardia Civil, in coordination with Europol, has dismantled a cannabis trafficking network operating from Morocco. In total, 64 suspects were arrested.
It took an operation carried out by 250 agents from various units of the Guardia Civil for this drug trafficking network known as the clan of los Pinchos to be dismantled, reports Ouest France. The 64 suspects arrested, all Spaniards, have been incarcerated. They were involved in the importation of cannabis from Morocco to Spain and used Go-fast vehicles to transport the "merchandise".
According to Europol and the Guardia Civil, the cannabis traffickers transport between three and six tons of cannabis per month. Deliveries take place at various locations on the Spanish coast in the regions of Huelva and Cádiz (Atlantic side), Algeciras and Malaga (Mediterranean side).
During the searches carried out at eight locations in the Campo de Gibraltar (the lair of the main leaders of the network), the Guardia Civil elements seized six boats, 16 vehicles, and eight tons of cannabis. They also identified various companies held by straw men, intended for the laundering of the money generated by the trafficking.
