Domestic Violence Tragedy in Beni Mellal: Wife Killed, Husband Attempts Suicide

The events took place on Thursday, January 16, in the rural commune of Tagzirte, in the province of Beni Mellal. The suspect dealt several blows, using a bladed weapon, to his wife before ingesting acid to end his life, reports Barlamane.

Following an alert, the local authorities and the royal gendarmerie services went to the scene. The husband was urgently admitted to a hospital.

While the husband managed to survive, the wife succumbed to her injuries. The man was transferred to a specialized institution due to the seriousness of his case.

For now, the aggressor’s motivations remain unknown.
