Tragic Murder-Suicide Attempt in Marrakech: Man Stabs Mistress, Takes Own Life

This happened in the Cheikh douar, dependent on the rural commune of Souihla, itself attached to the province of Marrakech. A 48-year-old man is said to have struck his lover seven times before ingesting hydrochloric acid to end his life. The mistress, aged 42, is still alive.

According to the newspaper Aujourd’hui le Maroc, which relays the information: "It was last Monday when this forty-two-year-old woman was found, still alive, inside a farm located in the Cheikh douar lying in a pool of blood, her body having been riddled with seven knife blows".

The woman was taken to the emergency room at Ibn Tofail Hospital, while the body was transferred to the morgue for an autopsy, still according to the same source. According to the newspaper, the investigation would have made it possible to know that the man stabbed the woman before ingesting acid.
