Belgian Tourist Robbed at Knifepoint in Beni Mellal, Morocco; Police Launch Manhunt

A Belgian national on vacation in Beni Mellal was attacked with a knife, last Saturday, January 25, by a group of individuals whose identity is still unknown.
According to the Akhbarona website, a national search warrant has been issued against the assailants, by the elements of the city’s police prefecture.
Under the threat of a knife, the thieves managed to seize the Belgian tourist’s cell phone, who was walking through the alleys of the urban district, and a sum of money, before fleeing.
An investigation has been opened by the security services, in order to determine the exact circumstances of the case and to try to find traces of the attackers.
