Casablanca Police Arrest Suspect in Brutal Knife Attack on Young Woman
Following information provided by the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance, the judicial police department of the prefecture of Casablanca succeeded, Tuesday afternoon, in arresting an individual suspected of knife attack on a young woman.
The 26-year-old man was intercepted upon his arrival at the Oulad Ziane station in Casablanca. The press release from the General Directorate of National Security stated that the suspect was found guilty of assaulting a former acquaintance in the old medina of Casablanca.
The victim, a young woman whose identity was not revealed, had been seriously assaulted with a knife to the face. She had even posted a video describing the entire scene.
The press release adds that the accused was taken into custody, at the disposal of the investigation, conducted under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, pending his appearance before the courts.
