Deadly Altercation in Fez: Security Guard Killed During Ramadan Dispute

Halfway through the holy month of Ramadan, "Tramdina" just claimed a victim in Fez. The victim, a man in his forties and a security guard, did not survive a violent blow from a young man in his thirties after a disagreement deemed trivial by those around him.
The events unfolded very quickly on Tuesday evening in Fez. According to the daily Al Massae, the two people were talking quietly when the thirtysomething, who became furious, violently knocked down his counterpart, a man in his forties, who did not survive. According to the source reported by the daily, the causes of the disagreement between these two people were trivial. The victim, a security guard working in a hospital in the spiritual capital of Fez and father of four children, was dealt a blow that proved fatal to him. His body was taken to the morgue of the Ghassani hospital for the needs of the investigation opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
As for the young man in his thirties, he was arrested by the judicial police and placed in custody. He will be brought before the Attorney General at the Court of Appeal of Fez on the charge of "intentional violence resulting in death without intent to do so".
