Customs Seize 1.5 Tons of Cannabis, 320 kg of Tobacco in Kenitra Drug Bust

A control operation carried out by elements of the National Customs Brigade on Friday, made it possible to seize a large quantity of cannabis and tobacco, on the National Road connecting Sidi Allal Tazi and Kenitra.
According to the press release from the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII) relayed by La Map, this search made it possible to detect the presence of a large quantity of cannabis and tobacco carefully hidden among the crates transported by the vehicle.
In total, 60 packages of cannabis weighing a total of 1,498 kg and 80 bags of tobacco (320 kg), were counted and seized, the same source specifies.
According to the same press release, this operation is part of the customs hunt against any form of fraud and illicit trafficking, which continues even during the pandemic period.
