A currency trafficking case involving more than 53,000 euros was thwarted on Thursday by customs services at the port of Tanger Med.
This sum was discovered by the elements on duty at the port of Tanger Med, on a Moroccan residing abroad, who was attempting to bring it into the national territory without having an authorization from the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII), reports the MAP, citing a customs source.
The currencies were hidden in a backpack among the luggage of a car registered in Italy, the same source specifies.
