Corruption and Adultery Scandal: 10 Arrested at Unlicensed Inn in Azrou, Morocco

The services of the Royal Gendarmerie of the city of Azrou, in the province of Ifrane, have arrested about ten people as part of a case of corruption, adultery and public drunkenness in the Ben Smim region.
It all started with information received by the gendarmes about an inn whose license was revoked in 2017. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office of the court of first instance in Azrou, they launched an investigation. The elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of the city of Azrou set a trap and arrived at the inn. This was followed by the arrest of its occupants caught in the act of corruption, adultery and public drunkenness. There are 5 women, three of whom are married, and 5 married men. The inn owner is accused of offering prostitution services.
Pending the resolution of this case, the suspects, as well as the owner of the inn, have been taken into custody.
