Construction Milestone: Elevator Installation Begins at Morocco’s Tallest Skyscraper
The installation of the elevators of the Mohammed VI Tower in Rabat has begun. A Moroccan company specialized in the manufacture of elevators and escalators has been chosen to carry out this project.
After installing the structures that will support the elevators, the company has started the final phase of the installation inside the skyscraper, reports Rue20.
The Mohammed VI Tower in Rabat, which has more than 55 floors, will house a luxury hotel, offices, high-end residential apartments and an observation platform at the top.
The 40 elevators will provide access to all the spaces of the tower.
Earlier this week, O Tower and Hilton announced their partnership for the opening of a luxury hotel under the Waldorf Astoria brand in Rabat in 2025. The hotel will occupy the upper floors of the Mohammed VI Tower. The establishment will offer 55 rooms and suites, wellness spaces, meeting rooms and several restaurants. This project aims to strengthen Rabat’s luxury tourism offering and promote Moroccan know-how internationally.
