Colas Rail Secures €15 Million Contract for Casablanca Tramway Expansion

The French company Colas Rail Company has been awarded a new 15 million euro contract by Casa Transport SA. This concerns the realization of the low voltage systems of the T3 and T4 lines of the Casablanca tramway.
More specifically, the new contract includes studies and installation of low voltage systems on the track, video surveillance & sound system, control command and data acquisition (SCADA), the multi-service network, time synchronization and telecommunications.
Speaking on the occasion, Hervé Le Joliff, President of Colas Rail, welcomed the trust and link between the Moroccan communities and his company, adding that as for the previous Casablanca tramway projects, "we are committed to delivering an integrated, reliable and safe system to our historical partner."
To recall, Colas Rail has participated in all the tramway construction projects carried out in Morocco such as lines 1 and 2 of the Rabat-Salé tramway and its extensions, as well as lines T1 and T2 of the Casablanca tramway. The company is currently carrying out the electrification (overhead lines and electrical substations) and the laying of the tracks for the central section of the two T3 and T4 lines of the Casablanca tramway, a contract won in 2021.
