Casablanca’s New Tramway Lines T2 and T3 Reach 72% Completion, Set for 2024 Launch

The construction work on the T2 and T3 lines of the Casablanca tramway has reached a progress rate of 72%, according to Casa transport. Their commissioning is scheduled for 2024.
According to the progress report, the construction of the T2 and T3 lines has reached an execution level of 72%. These two new lines will, it is said, help facilitate mobility by connecting different neighborhoods of the metropolis through this mode of transport.
As for the 3rd and 4th tramway lines, the company recalled that they will be built over 26 km, with 38 stations and 9 multimodal interchange points. More specifically, the T3 line, which is 14 km long, will have 20 stations, while T4 will have 19 stations over a length of 12.5 km.
According to the terms of the project, these two lines will be built simultaneously according to a common schedule and will require an investment budget of 7 billion dirhams. Their provisional commissioning is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024, the same source specifies.
