Chelsea’s Ziyech Scores but Shuns Celebration Amid Tuchel Criticism

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel comments on Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech’s refusal to celebrate his goal against Brighton (1-1) on Tuesday, January 18 at the Amex stadium.
Hakim Ziyech scored the only and only goal for the Blues in the 28th minute of the Chelsea-Brighton (1-1) match. While his teammates rushed to congratulate him, the Moroccan international did not celebrate his goal. An attitude that earned him criticism.
But the Blues’ attacking midfielder would have behaved this way because of the criticism he and his teammate Romelu Lukaku had received from their coach Thomas Tuchel after Chelsea’s defeat against Manchester City (0-1) last Saturday.
The German coach was questioned about the former Ajax Amsterdam star’s behavior. "Yeah, I’m happy. He can score 20 more and not celebrate, I wouldn’t have a problem," he said to BT Sport.
