Chelsea’s Ziyech Faces Backlash Over Muted Goal Celebration Against Brighton

Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech is facing criticism from Chelsea fans for not celebrating his goal during the match that pitted his club against Brighton (1-1) on Tuesday, January 18 at the Amex stadium.
Hakim Ziyech scored a goal in the 28th minute of the Chelsea-Brighton match, which ended 1-1. Contrary to his usual habits, the Moroccan international did not celebrate his goal while his teammates rushed to congratulate him. This has sparked criticism from Chelsea fans. "The more I look at Ziyech’s celebration and it’s pretty clear he’s a man without greatness, isn’t it? I like pettiness, but I’m not sure it’s a good sign," comments a Blues fan on Twitter.
"There’s something wrong in that locker room," writes another fan. Hakim Ziyech had a heated exchange with Romelu Lukaku as they were returning to the locker room at halftime. Lukaku, who has upset coach Thomas Tuchel by questioning his tactics, was unhappy because two passes had gone astray. "I love how people hate Lukaku when the real problem is Ziyech," comments a fan.
The European champion is struggling. The Blues have not won in four league matches.
