Chelsea Assistant Coach: Ziyech Thriving at Club Despite National Team Exit

The assistant coach of Chelsea believes that Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech is happy at Chelsea. A statement made a few days after the player’s decision to leave the national team.
Following Thomas Tuchel’s Covid-19 contamination, it was his assistant Zsolt Low who took charge of the team during Chelsea’s victory in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-final. After the match, he confided that "Hakim Ziyech is a happy player within his club, Chelsea", certainly referring to the player’s outstanding performance throughout this match.
Hakim Ziyech was the most creative player that day, earning praise from supporters and internet users. No doubt Ziyech’s decision to withdraw from the national team suits Chelsea’s interests, as they will be able to have the player at their full disposal. But on this issue, the assistant coach preferred to play the card of caution. "I don’t want to talk about what happened. It’s something that Hakim and the national coach have to settle. With Chelsea, we are very happy. He is in a good mood and fully focused on the game," he said.
Excluded from Morocco’s participation in the CAN, Ziyech preferred to focus on his club career and it seems to be paying off. He has been named man of the match 3 times in 5 starts since the beginning of 2022. Better, he has scored 3 goals and provided two assists for Chelsea in 13 Premier League matches.
