Chelsea Slashes Ziyech Price as Tottenham and PSG Circle for Summer Transfer
Chelsea is revising its demands downward to facilitate the transfer of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech this summer. The 30-year-old player is still in Tottenham’s sights.
Chelsea would accept £20 million to let Ziyech go, having brought him into their squad in the summer of 2020 from Ajax for a £38 million contract. Tottenham is already back in the running for the Moroccan international. But he will have to face other competitors like PSG who narrowly missed signing the 30-year-old player at the end of the winter transfer window.
According to sources, the Parisian club is ready to revive its interest in Ziyech this summer, reports Football Insider. In case it fails again to recruit the Chelsea attacking midfielder, Tottenham will be the Premier League team in pole position to secure the services of one of the architects of the exceptional and historic journey of the Moroccan team at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
