Chelsea Sets £20-30 Million Price Tag for Hakim Ziyech Transfer
Chelsea intends to part ways with certain players, including Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, during the summer transfer window. How much is the English club demanding for its attacking midfielder?
Chelsea would be willing to part ways with Hakim Ziyech, whose contract runs until 2025, if a club is willing to meet its demand of 20 to 30 million pounds sterling. According to Alan Hutton, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa right-back, the Blues are in a "very complicated" position with their squad. "It’s true that at the moment, Chelsea finds itself in a situation where the club has spent a lot of money, where it has an overstaffed squad and where it will have to reduce the number of players for the next manager, whoever he may be," he analyzes for Football Insider.
According to Hutton, Hakim Ziyech is one of the "many players" to be "transferred" from Chelsea this summer. Asked about a possible transfer of the Moroccan international to PSG after the failure in January, Hutton replies: "I think he’ll be happy to know he’s been transferred to PSG. I think he’ll be happy to know they’re still there." The 30-year-old player could also join the Tottenham squad, which continues to express its interest in the former Ajax star.
