A French national was arrested on Sunday by customs officers at the port of Bab Sebta. The man was trying to bring a large sum of undeclared money into Morocco.
In total, 87,840 euros undeclared to financial institutions (customs) were seized from the Frenchman who was entering Morocco in a car registered in France.
This sum was hidden in sheets under a wooden board in the trunk of the vehicle, as well as in the driver’s personal clothing and luggage.
The latter was handed over to the Bab Sebta police to further investigate this case, in execution of the instructions of the public prosecutor’s office.
